When connecting landlords with potential corporate tenants, we kindly ask for some key information about the property, including photos, size, location, and desired rental price.
Once we receive these details, we review the property and get in touch if it seems like a good fit. If we believe there’s a strong match between the company’s needs and the property’s characteristics, we proceed with the next steps in the process.
Do you have a fixed price for what you pay?
Since we operate in different countries and cities, prices vary depending on the location and type of property. We therefore let landlords specify their desired rental price for the unit directly in the form.
Do you prefer the properties to be furnished when renting?
Yes, we generally prefer furnished units. We typically don’t rent properties that lack basic amenities such as furniture, internet, and electricity included in the rental price. Having these elements in place helps us provide a better experience for our corporate tenants and ensures a smoother rental process for everyone.
Please note that we do not cover the cost of furnishing or pay for furniture if it’s not already included in the property.
How do you handle deposits?
Since we typically work with larger companies that rent multiple units or accommodate several employees, we use a company guarantee instead of a traditional deposit.
This works much like a regular deposit account. The main difference is that the funds aren’t locked in a bank. Instead, the rental agreement includes a clause stating:
"HomeShare provides a company guarantee of up to [xx NOK] per employee, covering any potential wear and tear, unpaid rent, or damages."
How long do you typically rent for?
We work with a wide range of accommodation needs. Rental periods can vary from 3 months up to 5 years. Our goal, however, is to maintain long-term partnerships rather than end contracts. When possible, we prefer to keep the property available so we can place a new tenant there immediately, as long as it’s acceptable to the landlord.
