What is HomeShare?
HomeShare provides furnished homes for project crews and staff, across Norway and the Nordics. We rent the homes ourselves and act as the tenant, so the company gets one contact, no deposit and no landlords to deal with. Our office is in Kristiansand.
Who is HomeShare for?
HomeShare suits contractors, subcontractors and industrial companies with crews on projects for a longer period, typically from ten employees and six months or more. Many of our customers have rotating crews from abroad and several projects in different countries at once.
What is the difference between project housing and a hotel?
Project housing from HomeShare gives the crew their own bedroom, a kitchen, a washing machine and a living room, so they can cook and rest properly between shifts. For longer stays it is usually cheaper than a hotel per night, and the company gets one fixed monthly price instead of hotel bills.
Where do you supply housing?
HomeShare supplies housing across Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, also in smaller places where housing is hard to find. We search from the address of the site, not the city, and have customers in places such as Kristiansand, Moss and Narvik.
How quickly can you deliver?
HomeShare sends a concrete offer within 48 hours of the request. How soon you can move in depends on the location and number of bedrooms. We do not promise available housing for every request, but we usually find a solution. Details for companies are under Companies.
Does the company have to pay a deposit?
No. HomeShare does not ask business customers for a deposit. We provide a guarantee of NOK 30,000 per bedroom to the homeowners ourselves, so the company ties up no capital, however many homes the project needs.
What does it cost?
HomeShare has no list prices, because the price depends on location, size and rental period. Companies get a fixed monthly offer per home, with everything included spelled out, within 48 hours. Landlords set the rent they want themselves when they register their home.
Can I rent out my home to HomeShare?
Yes. Anyone with a home to let can register it with HomeShare, free and without obligation. HomeShare becomes your tenant with a fixed monthly rent and a guarantee of NOK 30,000 per bedroom, and we look after the residents. We get in touch when a company needs housing in your area.
Are the homes furnished and ready to move into?
Yes. Homes from HomeShare are fully furnished to our inventory list, including a washing machine, tumble dryer, sofa and TV, and usually have electricity and internet included. The crew brings a suitcase and moves straight in, and HomeShare is the point of contact for the whole rental period.
How do we get started?
Companies fill in the form with location, date, number of employees and budget, and get an offer from HomeShare within 48 hours. Landlords register their home with photos and the rent they want. Both take a few minutes, and you can also write to support@homeshare.no.
